So I know this is an old thread, and this event didn't happen this year. Apparently it will be running next year though.

Anyways, I wanted to piggyback on this thread because searching through to find skaters in my area (Hamilton, NY - I got to Colgate University) I typed in Oneida first and this thread came up. Any of y'all actually live in the area? No one skates seriously at my school and I would love to find some fellow riders nearby to do some dancing and downhill with, maybe even film a quick video or something - it would be great to find some nice long hills in the area, I know there have to be plenty waiting to be found.

I hear ya on no one at school. I'm at rpi, surrounded by some fun stuff, and no one else skates. How far is Colgate from the Albany area?
