So it's no longer a GSI event? I know you and Tim do not work together anymore but i expected Tim Cayer and GSI to be running it, not that i think you don't belong, you are the best starter of any race i entered.
Pierre, DrNoRacing is a race management team that is currently working with several groups on the East Coast to handle the management of races that are being organized by others as well as working on races we will be organizing and running ourselves. Since we are set up this way it leaves the options open to work with the existing sanctioning bodies that we determine will add benefit to the racer and the event to assist in strengthening any existing series they may have and offer racers the chance to attend races closer to them while they attempt to raise their position in any current point standings. We felt this would be a better arrangement for the racing community and for the overall quality of the events we will be involved with. Currently we are working on three races for the 2008 season for the East Coast, we will keep everyone informed.

that seems like a round about way of saying that the race is going to be sanctioned by IGSA instead of GSI?
how you come up with IGSA is beyond me, it has not been mentioned once here.
Dr. No broke off from GSI so its a roundabout way of saying Dr. No and his group (DRNoRacing) will be running it

those three things are what made me think IGSA. first he mentions choosing an existing sanctioning body IGSA is one.
second he references point standings IGSA is the only one that i know of.(i could be ignorant of others though)
third Marcus has been hinting about east coast world cup races and that fits well with the three east coast races that he is working on.
it is possible that im interpreting this too much but i wouldnt say things like those that i highlited unless i something planned?
Yeah Neil !!!
It's Flavien, the frenchie you met with Chris
Ill be there this year if I aint in Japan during the race...
Is there any refund going on for those who register online and who end up not being able to participate??
What would be the very last day to advise you if ones can't race??
i would love to race, but feel sort of have doubts since I haven't ever been over 35mph on a board. My area really doesn't allow that without gettin killed by crappy pavement, or traffic. Still thinking about it though, wonder if many people my age race.

I'd like to race but i'm a noob at Dh. Theres a good amount of time to register though so maybe if I get better I'd enter. The only problem might be leathers.
Flavien, if you make it out you will have a great time. The towns people, the race road & the atmosphere all provide for an excellent event!
If anyone who registers online and pays will not be able to make it out there will be a cut-off date (provided in the near future) for them to contact us and they will receive a refund, details will be announced soon.
CS2, you are right, caught it and edited text-not title, thanks. Still working on the joke though...LOL
GravityRider & Ian- There will be practice only allowed, information will be on the website when we release registration. Either way you should come out and get to know some of the racers and pick up pointers, you can learn lots.
WTF is this about "Pro and Am Speedboard" and junior divisions? It's better with 1 race per sport.
And I swear to god, if we don't have a speedboard final because you ran 3 classes each of buttboard, gravity bike, and dirtsurfer,, I'm demanding a refund on my registration and skipping it in 09.
