As if there isn't already enough MySpace pages, Bloggs and RSS feeds to tell us what is going on in the New Jersey longboarding scene, along comes this guy to add some more cyber crap. I'm not looking at changing the world or even becoming the next Silverfish, I just want to be in the loop. Earlier this month I decided to start an online group dedicated just to the New Jersey longboarding scene. My first step was to find the right communication tools for the group. After tinkering with every social networking website as well as their partnered gadgets, gizmos, photo storage and blogging capabilities, I decided on Google. The online group's mission is to provide a single stop for a member to find, store and share information on events, crew rides, new riding spots and just about anything else which a New Jersey longboarder would expect. Other social networking sites usually rely on a single contributor. The content at New Jersey Longboarders Google Group will be contributed by all members. Hopefully this will help create and support a local network of longboarders. I planned on kicking things off by having an open membership. Nothing would make me happier than if some of you joined the group, started a thread or two about where you are riding the weekend and then post a few pictures of that ride. Anyway, follow the link and let this thing take on a life of its own.
this is kind of a joke...but kinda not. the 'lobster house bridge' is the east of the two bridges that cross from new jersey to the real south jersey, cape may. the north side of that bridge going down and turning east is the biggest/fastest thing you are going to get to a 'hill' anywhere within 50 miles. just ta let you guys know. hit me up if you are ever in the area. at least theres a good beach and boardwalk.
