OK so I want to introduce everyone to my new friend The Tidal Wave!! Huge, and steep and really fast... Last time no one showed up and this hill MUST be skated... so maybe this time will be different!! It is a great place to practice DH or slide techniques.
Saturday March 22nd at 12:00 noon
Ottawa Avenue in Hasbrouck Heights, NJ
*Entrance is via Rt. 17 South OR Terrace Avenue. Use you favorite mapping service for details. On Rt. 17 South, the street is discreet and can be easily passed over. Its about 100 yards before the McDonalds, so if you passed it, go into the McDonalds and head towards the rear of the parking area and there is a small street which leads right back into Ottawa Avenue.
im gonna try to make it out this time. sry i couldnt come this time. Plus my friend was too drunk and/or high to get a ride from his dad. hes a jackass. He broke his board and he then proceeds to spend all his money on beer and pot. looser.
And in other news...
I found this hill in my home town and its insane. I have only ridden about 1/5th of the hill and its already about 40mph. I still cant ride the whole thing but once i do. Ill let you guys know how fast it is. Its insanely steep. There is a train stop at my town so its easy to get here from the city.

Yeah its pretty gnarly (is that spelled right?). I was talking to one of my friends who lives on the hill and he said that one person rode it on a skate board, fell and had to go to the hospital and another kid rode it on a bike and fell and broke his arm. If you PM me some time i'll take you over there.

Well, I don't know much about hill grades... but if someone wants to put up one of those fancy Google Earth pics... that would help nicely. Its a really steep hill, BUT its short, and takes less than a minute to skate. It has good run-off, and like I said above is a great spot to practice DH or Sliding. I wouldn't post a Session if I thought it wouldn't be worth it to come. So come on Down!!!
I want to come...But do you think we can skate some of those hills below the GW (from the jumpoff) afterwards?
Yes. We can definitely accommodate that, I'm sure others will want to skate that hill again. Actually there are about 2 or 3 other hills under the GWB that we didn't do that day, so maybe we can get to them as well. You're coming in car right?

I'm not sure. Maybe i'll come in through the city again like I did last time...skate across the GWB and then from Fort Lee over (it's only 6.6 miles from Fort Lee to your spot)....what do you think?
No way man!! Not possible. Too many highways n such. There might be some people meeting up with me at the Path Station in Hoboken. You could meet us there and then we'll all go with my car. I'll write back more details when everything starts coming together next week.
