Harriman Outlaw

I thought I would try and contribute to the Northeast longboard scene by trying to get together an outlaw at Harriman State Park. The road, which has been closed for the past few weeks offers around 50, and riders must be experienced. Footbraking/sliding skills are a must, as well as a full face, and most likely leathers. If a lot of people are interested, maybe we can set this race up sometime late June.

i would leave to organizing up to Nick Ledwitz or Neuros. they seem to be the two that have rode these hills the most.

if this does happen, that would be sick. i will most certainly attend.

There could be some sick hills to race on in Harriman. Only problem is this: June/July, forget about it. The park is going to fill with mad amounts of vacationers. If we want to do this, it will have to be soon.

Also, racing would be sketch on the best hill in the park because there are some blind sweepers and cars coming up like to go fast. If anything, I'd say 2 maybe 3 man heats would be optimum for that hill.

The hill we've seen in pictures is closed at the bottom so very very few cars will come down it. However, I'm not sure how long the roads stay closed for. Radios would not be a bad idea.

A nice group of us are heading to Harriman this monday. Anyone who wants to come, is invited, and another outlaw would be a great thing for the East Coast after the Sultans of Speed. I'll keep everyone posted.

I just may. I have plans with a friends wedding in Philadelphia this weekend and don't know when I will be back in Brooklyn. I showed my girlfriend the park last night and we discussed going up there. So if not Monday, than in the near future.

I have to see how it works out with my parents and school and such, but I'm thinking soon because the park is gonna start getting packed as we approach summer. Maybe within the next few weeks.

I think I'm staying until Monday. I'm not really sure of anything, all I know is that I'll be up there for the weekend.
