Re: Harriman State Park Official Thread
I'm glad you had a goood time Gordo! Keep skating hard, the next time you go, I'm there. I was celebrating the 4th at an all day BBQ, had lots of fun, playing poker, and dominoes, and drinking Heinekens! Be good dude.

Re: Harriman State Park Official Thread
Hey guys,
I'm new to jersey, and newer to speedboarding. I'm picking up a fullface soon, but I am still working myself up to being comfortable at speed. 30-40mph is fast for me still, but I want to skate some cool runs. Is there anything at Harriman suitable for me? Would anyone be interested in a session / helping me out with stuff like sliding/stopping and technique?
I live in Vernon, right near Mtn Creek.
Thanks guys.

Re: Harriman State Park Official Thread
My buddies and I skated Harriman back in the 70's before there were helmets enclosed ball bearings and anything remotely resembling as safety gear. We wore motor cycle helmets and jackets on 28'' skateboards made of marine plywood. As I recall Lake Welch Parkway is a pretty good run since it closes after the season and you can have completely free of traffic. Storm King is a major commuter road so I wouldn't try it except on the weekends early morning. Willow Grove is probably the best run in the park when it's freshly paved.

Re: Harriman State Park Official Thread
crappy-this is where I'm planning to have my outlaw. Well, kinda, its a small closed road up to a tower up there, very few people have skated it. (just me actually, the other people who were with me buttboarded down because the road was covered with too many leaves).
