Finger Lakes Surf Skaters (Brand New Longboard Club out of Ithaca,NY)

Hey everyone. My buddy and I are trying to start a club in Ithaca. We have meeting in Cass park every monday around 6pm to just cruise and grin around the rec path there and will be organizing other sessions as we gain more members and the summer moves on. Anyone who is interested in joing us should just bring their quiver to the park and enjoy. We have 5 to 7 people usually, but would love to see many more. We are also thinking of trying to organize a cruise race/ BBQ/ possible slide sesh in Ithaca for end of summer blow out party. This would be first event that I have organized, but really need some help with ideas and organization. Already talking to a few sponsors, but we need to get an idea of the level of interest in something like this. Anyone have thoughts on this? Happy skating everyone. We had an awesome parking garage sesh last night... 4+ hours of nothing but smiles and smooth carves down our own 9 story run, complete with a 30 second lift ride... It was just myself and Ogin, along with our newest member Corey (breaking in his new board).
