where are we going with this, i mean we can skate from hoboken to ny state im just curious what roads we will be sticking to, for the the lighting and road conditions ..and god forbid we take oxen hill ..... would be worth a story tho

If you know where the Japanese supermarket mitsuwa is, (next to the golf range) in edgewater there is a road to the west that goesbehing a old warehouse and up the palisades , its narrow and steep and theres soccer moms and asians always driving on it - death-trap its a direct connection from cliffside to edgewater

I grew up in that area so i am quite aware of the hills in the area
I do know they just did a road widening job on rt 5 in ridgefield, it would be a Beautiful little run if we can get it with no traffic after they lay the asphalt, there will be a few days to lay down the other passes and also let the asphalt cool down, some good timing can lead to a great time

Is there a train station near the starting point?

The only train station close enough to the start point is Hoboken station. From there, you can get on the Hudson/Bergen Light Rail and get off on Bergenline Avenue. The train will leave you on 48th street/Bergenline. The starting point is on 90th Street/Bergenline. Basically about 1.5 mile ride. So you can either skate it from there, (no big thing the streets are small) or take a mini-van up to 90th Street/ White Castle (where everyone is meeting). Hope you can make it out!

Starts at Midnight Saturday (technically Sunday) --- and skate till morning Sunday 8/10. Stop getting technical on me... I'm starting to get confused

So you are meeting NYC guys at the port authority and then taking a bus to Jersey from there? That might be the best route for me...

Yup, exactly on 42nd Street/8th Avenue. We'll meet there and then head into Jersey and we'll all finally meet up with the Jersey people in the White Castle parking lot in North Bergen on 90th Street/Bergenline Avenue.

That corner in NYC gets busy, so just look around for all the longboarders hanging around one of the food-stands.

Pat, definitely take the light rail to 48th and skate up.... its not too far.
