The Jersey Jumpoff; The Annual Summer Madness Jam!!

Most of the runs have plenty of street lights. Don't bring any flashlights, you'll be fine. Glowsticks... well now, I love glowsticks.... glowsticks make Hulk happy!

As for the turnout... expect anywhere from 10- 90 people coming. It all depends on how many people are willing to have a little fun and do something different with their summer.

OK, just so everyone knows, This Saturday for the Jumpoff... I'll be meeting with the NYC crew on 42nd Street at Midnight and then getting on the bus with everyone and heading over into Jersey which should take around 15-20 minutes. Then meeting with the NJ crew at the White Castle parking lot.

Yes, I will have two old band aids in my back pocket. But don't worry they are clean as I forgot they were in there and washed them in the shorts pocket a few days ago.

I will also have some dehydrated water as well. Gotta keep things light! Works good, just add h2o. Tastes just like water!

I had that exact super soaker! Shooting people as they walked on the avenue below from my second floor window. I was 14 or something....

As for amenities, its pretty much bring your own... They'll be a few spots to buy drinks... I know all the 24 hr. spots.

Stringtheory, if you're looking to do something earlier on in the day with druqs, I saw in another thread here that NYC will be shutting down one of its main avenues to promote biking, skating, running and health in general... I believe thats happening this Saturday too (daytime).

theres a decent amount of water fountains in the area. theres at least one by the 60th street hill and one by the empire drop that I know of.

I went out and skated a bunch of these roads friday night and i forgot how fun the empire drop is: I got my friends to spot the left turn for me so I could really crank my speed and started taking that left at full speed (35ish) which is super fun....though drifting over expansion gaps is a bit sketch. I can't wait for this to go down saturday...


ps.I really want to hit the route 5 hairpin Adam... it looks sick

As long as they can keep up and foot-break well, they should be fine. They should be fine.....just make sure they wear some safty gear.

i think im going to get this girl to come and she can play photographer - so that will be special. I am also bringing my van so i can carry a bunch of crap there, just in case and if someone shows up thats not quite the skill level we can have a chase vehicle .. oh god i need this session im stressed from these damn finals

Im not sure if a chase car is necessary. It also might be a waste of gas. but it would be cool to not have to carry crap like water all the time.
and if someone got hurt they could just sit in the car for a while. I guess

i didnt pay for this tank anyway - but i wouldnt think of it as a chase care, more of a mobile base of operations, as i understand we will be covering some area... but that depends if someone sucks at skating and is willing to drive
