Re: Long Island, Suffolk
I have an extra pair of sidewinders, don't really have a board for them other then the s9 it came with which is one of it's pitfalls i guess. I stick them on my flex1 dervish for funzies every now and then...
I love the truck though, superrrr smooth and turny. It really livens up the smaller hills which is great for LI since we got a lot of them. Extremely pumpable too - couple little wiggles and you're back up to speed. Don't bomb with them and they end up being ridic tall if you top mount.
i'm a fan.
Does anyone on LI LDP? I'd love to jump in any kinda sesh with you guys but if anyone is into the long distance def hit me up. Ive got a galac LDP if anyone is interested in trying it out as well..

Re: Long Island, Suffolk
i'm six foot and weigh 225 and my first board was an Original Custom 35... highly recommended. Great for carving, and cruising down medium hills... you can learn to speed check on it really easily. They say 30mph is fine on it... but i've found it gets a little scary above 25mph. Ask for the red springs and get the cruiser weight. You'll be set.
Since, I've added an Evo to the quiver which I have found to be a great compliment.

If its just between those boards right now, I'd say def the Path 37 because the board will be lighter and give you a better turning radius then the sidewinders. Those sidewinders are heavy, so are the Originals, but more so the sidewinders. What about a Loaded Pintail or something like that? Its 35.5 inches, carves like a beast with some nice 150 mm trucks on there, and has a nice flex to it. I've never rode it but I haven't found anyone who had anything bad to say about that board.
