So Dude, what's Chris like? You talked to him at the ditch yea? Does he have the time to just talk a bit or is he a "leave me alone now" dude...?

Seems like the former to me, a nice family guy that likes to show the rest of us how it's done with style.

He's an intense professional... who seems to be able to talk to 12 people at once... but that doesn't stop him from being right there when you talk to him. He handles adversity in the pro-angst realm well (oh, the shouting match earlier that day), and still just wants to race. He's building a business that is changing the sport, but he always carries enough schwag to make sure everyone knows what his business is...
I got lucky, because of some e-mail confusion, we had to introduce ourselves with some laughter. Plus the fact that I was the voice of reason (?) at the finish line. It was a great moment in my "skate-life" to have spent time with him, and if you get the chance to watch him having fun on a long downhill, don't blink. That mo-fo can pull slides like nobody's bidness (360's all over the place... pendulum double-back into a four-step walk-then reverse it... ).

Black Leather Racing! Woo-hoo! The other member of the team had the flu, and still did fairly well. (That would be "Bear-Killer" Hackett, btw.)
