Re: A french guy in nyc
hommage is good, i was there when my girlfriend bought a board off them, they did some sick grip tape, best ive ever seen by far

Re: A french guy in nyc
Yea Homage is probably the best skate store in Brooklyn. They don't really carry any KebbeK's or Landyachtz but they carry Earthwing and quite a few good wheel brands.

Homage is a really nice longboard shop on east coast standards. Earthwing can be had at Blades, if your stuck in manhattan.

Re: A french guy in nyc
homage sells great stuff you won't be able to find in other stores. but the prices are set for those big spending yuppies. try ordering online if you're budget is tight. then again our dollar is worth shite. so yea shop at homage with you bountiful euro.

Re: A french guy in nyc
the dollar has gained quite a bit on the euro in the past few months. last summer was the peak of the euro.

If you go blades, make sure you hit up the downtown one. It had a surprisingly large selection of Earthwing decks and wheels. The uptown blades is really small, and the only thing I saw in there was a complete thruster thats been sitting in there forever.

Paragon has sum complets, I amnot sure what brands, all I remember was seeing a loaded ceviche, its right downtown, on broadway and 18th I believe.

Re: A french guy in nyc
paragon has a good selection and will let you bring in a price off the web an match it. so you can get a factory price pretty much without paying for shipping. i shop there too much, usually not for skate stuff though

Re: A french guy in nyc
Blades on Broadway at 3rd street has a nice selection of Earthwing stuff, a lot of Sector 9 boards, and a few other NYC brands (Shut skates, among others). There are no shops in NYC that sell a lot of downhill stuff. You probably won't find any Kebbek, Rayne, Landyachtz, or Earthwing downhill boards for sale.

Whenever I've been in there they've have a lot of year-old EW decks and discontinued wheels, which isn't such a bad thing.

I think someone at the Rip said Blades was going to stock Boomerangs. And the guy who does the stocking at Homage said he'll have Boomerangs and Mystery Models when they put away their snow stuff and rebuild their longboard racks, certainly by April. When I was there last week he had just gotten this giant bag of Obamas, Smokers, Road Rages and Freeriders in both duros. It was beautiful.
Also, monsieur le francais: On peut telephoner Brian Petrie lui meme pour acheter tous les trucs EW. Il habite a Brooklyn. Tres sympa, et quelque fois moins cher.....

Re: A french guy in nyc
there is also uncle funky's boardshop, i believe he still doesnt have a shop yet, but you can call and go see him somewhere, however i do believe he sells the same boards you can get a paragon or blades, eq Loaded and earthwing but you should call and ask i am at work so you have to google for the number yourself And yes i do order most of my stuff onlne, anyway how long are you staying? you can have them ship your boards to your hotel or straight to France if you dont mind the mailing costs
