Skatepark in Northport

There is a new skatepark that is going to be built in Northport. There is a final design meeting on Thursday May 7 at Huntington Town Hall 6-8 pm. We need anyone who can make it to come down and pick one of two designs. Site Design and California skateparks will be there. They are the two companies that are building this park at Veterans Park.

California Skateparks and Site Design will be constructing a kick butt new concrete park featuring a seperate bowl, flow course and street course.

The Town of Huntington is inviting all skaters to a design review for the veterans park skatepark on Thursday, May 7, 2009 (6pm -8pm) at the Huntington Town Hall - Board Room. 100 Main street in Huntington Long Island. There is a choice between two designs and the winning design will be unveiled on May 16 at the Lenny Lamb 2 Demo and skate contest at Greenlawn skatepark in Long Island New York.

To review and/or comment on proposed designs before may 7th,

(4) enter the following: User name: huntington Password: skate
(5) it will prompt you to enter the user name and password twice!

We've put many years of hard work into to making this park a reality and we need everyone that can, to attend this meeting on Thursday, May 7 in support of this park. Please come out and show your support !!!!!!!!!!!!!!


Any local skaters that can make the meeting please attend and help us get a real skatepark on Long Island.
