Its a weird looking hill, its like.........wide so I wouldn't be worried about traffic, than again I haven't skated it, only looked at it from the train.

Also I think WillJ's explanation about the dates makes the most sense.

Is that "Snake" Hill? I've only heard of it. Jim McMahon, Steve Kong, and I came across it in search of new hills to thrash. Yes there is up-hill traffic, heavy at times, but plenty of visibility. As long as every one has their heads out of their posterior (myself included), there should be no issue with that.

There is also plenty of shade, parking, and places to grab water or a bite to eat.

yea i think i've heard dykman referred to as snake hill on freshpaved.

As of now we have two sponsors for the event, so I'm not sure If we will sesh Dyckman in the A.M. before Cloisters or what...

From my experience with that hill... some people held the "Sunday Mass" sessions there, and is best to hit that hill early in the morning before 9 and 10am. During those hours the traffic is very minimal, after 10am it picks up a bit. That hill is challenging, I just wish it didn't flow right into a big intersection. I'll be there wherever it is.

The Jam runs like a regualr slide shesh. Warm up for a bit, throw the fcuk down, gear giveout, then go home. Total: 3-4 hrs maximum.

+1, besides Watchtower there isn't much in Brooklyn/NYC (unless you know where to look, most of the best hills are not ridable). there's some good stuff in uptown Manhattan above Harlem (example being the cloisters) and the Bronx has tons of stuff.
