Re: East Coast Slidejam/ Styles Showcase
sliding? what's sliding? do you mean slippy doodles? nobody calls it sliding anymore. it's slippy doodles for life yo.
also, i have a question. what setup is best for slippy doodles? I've been wanting to get more into slippy doodles but i feel like i have to buy more equipment because I suck with the equipment i have now. i am assuming that it is my equipment's fault because last i checked, i was awesome.
Can I slippy doodle with a street deck? or does it have to be a longboard? longboards are heavy. i am weak.
what do you think of my current slippy doodles setup:
7.75 element muska illumination (no griptape)
indy haslam 129s (no bushings)
spitfire f1 street burner 54mm cardiels (no bearings)
any recommendations on how to improve this setup?
also i would like some trick tips before the contest:
I am getting my coleman's real good now, but I can't bring my toeside pendys back around. it's like arggghh... what am i doing wrong?!!!!
And on backside noseblunts, do i look over my shoulder down the hill? or back up the hill so i can see if anyone is about to hit me from behind?
also, sponsors... i am looking to get P-A-I-D or at least free stuff. inocente tequila has stepped up to the plate and given me some mad flow lately, which is all gone, so don't ask, and if they don't get me another case soon, i am dropping them like a hot potato as I have interest from casa noble now.
skating is all about creating a career for yourself and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. if you are skating to have "fun" then you are just wasting your time and are keeping those around you from elevating by your lazy attitude.

Please, skate for fun ONLY. Support those who support you. Show respect and you will get respect. Sometimes you gotta show it first.

Yes 2 o'clock.
JBT is hilarious. I love you, man!
I am back on a board as of today. A few hours shy of three weeks since injury.

yes. dead serious about slippy doodles! no joke!!! and my slippy doodles setup listed above! (thanks to those who pm'd me to remind me that grip tape, bushings, and bearings can really help in slippy doodles.)
brian, glad you are back on a board! i love you too man!
ton, i approve of you and your stoke!
matthew, i already don't remember what i said, so i doubt i will remember it at the competition, but glad you liked it.
steve, sorry to question your sarcasm detector. you are awesome.
jess, i will be there!!! (gasp)
I am bringing 4 gonzo slippy doodles setups:
1) previously mentioned street setup
2) 80's style pig with old stock 80s neon pink gullwing phoenix IV's and inverted mini-cubics
3) SMA Bennet Harada thermoplastic (closest thing to an executioner i can find), Ace 44's, 58mm slide a's
4) 5' plank with original trucks and 62mm slide a's (similar to my setup at the first Gravity slidefest)

Did you just say, Utes? As in Utahtonians? Cause Lil Buddy is one.
I'm still riding the same bigfoot drifter setup with the same grip and trucks and bearings I was riding over a year ago. I keep trying to get a new board but all I keep hearing is nothing cause no one returns my calls.
Maybe I smell funny....... NAH!!!
