who would try and make it to a push race in pullman, WA?

Right now im in the process of forming a Student organization at Washington State University for longboarders. im gonna spend the rest of the year working out the bugs in the group.
Primarily i want to put on a push race next year in order to boost the group, i was looking to see if i could expect people from Spokane and Tricities. since im used to Portland races it hasn't been weird to see kids from Seattle in Portland so im just checking. im thinking of using the walking trails around here and calling in people from University of Idaho to join.
what do you guys think?
