GreenSkate April 18th

SalemLongboarding will be hosting a GreenSkate event on the 18th of April at 12 noon in Salem, Oregon. GreenSkate is an event that promotes the use of longboards as an alternative mode of transportation. We will skate around town promoting the use of longboards as a mode of transportation similar to bicycles. Stay tuned for more information. Hopefully we can get a bunch of people to come down and support the cause.

I'm definately down, depressed I won't get my new board by then but still sounds fun, kinda ironic that I would be driving up there to promote alternate transportation lol

Hmm Google maps says its a 3 hour bike ride and an 11 hour walk. I'm really not trying to wake up that early and longboard for 35 miles

So, seeing as how there is the slalom event and there is going to be a freeride event the same day, we will probably lose all participants to the freeride event. So i will still hold this event but push it back another weekend to the 25th. I hope you guys can still make it and i will try to amp up the fun.

Yea I went after 2. Saw no one in the whole park and just figured I was a little late. Too bad this didn't happen.
