Re: northwest / seattle - pavedwave distance longboarding
Hey it was great to rip a fast lap at the lake with you and Sheldon tonight, James. Perfect way to round out a very busy weekend. I'm down to ride some more this week if you are!
Peace!

Here's some clips from last week's rides - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sy07PQkRC2E
the chicago PUMP race is this saturday and I'm a bit bummed not to make it... $500 first prize!! any pumpers in that area should check it out -- http://www.ncdsa.com/contest_registr...?ContestID=290
looks like one dude might be joining me on the STP this year -- those tix are selling out soon according to cascade.org, so if you're really serious (i.e., you're already in shape for it) sign up now

Good group and sweeeeeet riding at the lake today!

Re: northwest / seattle - pavedwave distance longboarding
last friday was a chaotic blast. skip, thea, ken, patrick, calin, dan?, jeff, others.... all scattered, catchin each other off and on, something around five laps total?? staying ahead of the electric exkate guy was a hoot. trying to keep pace with patrick was even more nuts -- that guy was on FIRE!! got home just in time to not get busted (thanks skip!)
anyway -- later this week looks kinda wet. so thinking about a greenlake tomorrow Tuesday afternoon -- 4:30-ish. if you might be game - drop a line!
== == == == == == == == == == == ==
EDIT - TUESDAY - no greenlake. 3 people workin, and 2 people too tired from last Friday -- I'll be blasting home on the Burke-Gilman, departing Fremont Bridge around 4:30 in case any stragglers want to join (Patrick is the usual suspect...)

Re: northwest / seattle - pavedwave distance longboarding
Yep, I was at Dash Point all day yesterday, so I missed the parade, but this morning, my brother (real brother) sends me a pic and goes "Is this James?" I took a look and said, yep, it sure is! I got operatives watching everything, everywhere!
Here's the pic. Way to go, James!

Re: northwest / seattle - pavedwave distance longboarding
haha - cool Ken - you never know who's snappin out there, probably the Feds as well.
Sheldon and I bravely scouted Chief Sealth trail Sunday. There were a couple really nice curvy hills but no run-out at the end, quite a bit o' footbraking. Overall the trail's a bit too up and down and choppy with intersections for the cruisin' and chillin LDP gig, with a lot of gravel covering the trail as well. But it was a great workout, that dude can push up hills like crazy!
Speaking of... STP (July 14-15) just sold out! But if anyone is game you can still pick up transfer tickets off the message boards -- that's what I did last year. Trevor and Sheldon are both pretty tentative but still kickin it around.

Re: northwest / seattle - pavedwave distance longboarding
I'm teaching all day James. I'm definitely going tommorow though. Possibly around 5.
I know I have been like the boy who cried wolf, but as soon as this work stuff subsides I'll be out alot more.
