Any fishers out in Eugene? I'll probably be moving out there this July for grad school.
How's the park/hills/garages?
Hey dude, i live in Eugene! I go to South Eugene High School. There aren't any fishers that live here that i know of, and the scene isn't too huge. Parks kinda depends where you live, Churchill high school has a good one, a really small bowl by south eugene, but there are pretty good bowls within a hour drive i believe. Hills are decent, lots of good ones, but a lot have bad pavement. Im not one for the serious downhill, but you can definently find places to go 30-45. Theres really only 1 garage downtown and its not too great, but its better than nothing.
Eugene is a pretty relaxed town. it rains a lot though in the fall/winter/spring, so that kinda sucks.
Hope i helped a little. feel free to PM me for any other questios
Check out [Eastside Longboards] Home Yes I know it's Portland, a long way from Eugene, but at some point everyone makes it to Portland for something! The Eastside forum is a good way to find hills and local guys. I know there is someone from Corvallis who comes up regularly for races.
I live in Eugene and the longboarding is alright. There are about 3 parking garages that are a pretty good time. 2 of the are small but really fast and require sliding to avoid hitting a wall, and the second garage is large but very mellow. There are some really nice hills over by churchill in an area known as hawkins. Good luck!
he's talking about mt. tabor. every wednesday its shut down to traffic for hikers, bikers, and of course... longboarders.
actually portland is a wonderful place to be if you love skating in general. its one of the more liberal cities in the country. and is also one of the first to actually legalize skateboarding in the downtown area. props to my state! oregon and proud!

I'm moving out next week. Probably be there by Sunday or so. I would love to hook up with some of you guys and skate. I scoped some pretty sweet looking hills just outside of town last time I was there. Should be able to find my way back out to them.
