I am planning on going to Maryhill this August, so does anyone know of local hotels? Also, if you have already been there, then please PM me, because I have some questions.
WHY? Are you bringing an infant? Only Martin Siegrist and Jon Ozman stay in a hotel. Camping in the park is like half of the fun. Plus, city counsil won't come to your hotel to cook everyone breakfast. They'll come to camp though.
Sorry, I haven't been yet, but this link may be helpful: Maryhill Magic
They have a list of relatively close hotels, but none of them inexpensive. I understand event camping will be available, but I don't think it's on site. The guys at [Eastside Longboards] Home might know more if you post a thread on their forum. Hope that helps a little bit!
Thats cause nothing ever goes down in Goldendale. Hhaha
Most people in Wa don't even know where the fack it is. But I guess most people don't see to know where TC is AKA Tri-Cities. Spocompton does and Walla Walla but thats about it.

This year, the campgrounds are at the County Fairgrounds and they're still free to racers and attendees. Hot Showers are also free, this year. The Racers Village is also where the stages, bands, awards and some other stuff will be. It's an essential part of the Festival!
Local motels are handy if you need electricity, high-speed internet and/or a place to have FedEx deliver things, so the organizers will be in one of those. Last year, we all shared a huge roadhouse room lined with little beds, a coffeemaker and refrigerator. We were up until the wee hours of the morning preparing for the next day(s), Reitema and Bob crunching brackets and times, John fixing schedules, coordinating details, dealing with whatnots, me formatting & uploading photos and writing up dailies for the site and David Dean sampling the flora and fauna. Damn that David Dean!
