Would any Seattle-area rippers consider an impromptu, medium-skill push race on nothing but Vannys and Dervs? I think it would be fun to see how many of us we can organize and I'm wondering if riding the same manufacturer's products will equalize our performance. Probably not. There are some wicked fast pushers/pumpers in and around the Seattle area. I also just want to give my buddies at Loaded a shot in the arm. I've always been a fan of the Vanguard and it seems like people are forgetting how much you can do with one of them.
I can secure a new board and some other swag for the top three finishers, and lord knows we need to get out and ride as much as possible. Any other Vanguard Vipers or Dervish drivers want to race?

I need some idea when we could do this. I've got a location in mind that's not too busy, not too hard, where just about anybody can ride. Just need to figure out WHEN!
I'd do it but not sure I'll be here. Give me a date and I might be able to give you two Vanny riders as well.

what not fair!!!!! i used to have a vanguard but sold it. dangit. I think this event would go better in california where everyone owns a loaded. I dunno how well an event like this would go. I mean a race for ONLY vanguards and dervishes?!!? i do see them a lot more now but not enough to gather enough for a race.

Why just Vanguards and Dervs? Well, I'm a big fan of Loaded. They gave us the Vanguard when longboarding badly needed an injection of something new and unique. Before the Vanguard, things were pretty static. It's still a one-of-a-kind design and an excellent cross-trainer for snowboarders. On top of all that, it's a slammin dancer.
Nancy, why don't you use one of my Vanguards and I'll ride something else. I'm just gonna be filming anyway, so it doesn't matter what I ride. It wouldn't be right if you weren't there!
ken if you're really gonna do this, I think you oughta have a loaded division and an "other" division for all other boards -- then see which group makes it across the finish line first

You're onto me. I'm still doing a Loaded event, but I'm adding an all-riders event for another date. Meeting with Shane and the KOS crew next week to discuss events. Watch the forums!
