    Default Park/Pool/Street board

    Hey guys,
Im interested in getting into park skating.
I have a few questions about it.
Firstly what would be a good board. Want to get it from this website: Boardshop Australia Skateboard Shop for Longboard, Old School, Pool & Slalom Skateboards want to keep it around $190 AUD.
Also can these type of boards be used for just like street skating??? If so what type of street skating can they be used for (what type of tricks can you do)??
    Any help is appreciated thanks.

You can do the same tricks on a pool board as a street board

Just go back to the old Powell video's such as, Ban This and Public Domain.
Look what Natas was doing . It is really amazing, and to me, so much cooler.

pool/park boards and street/"trick" boards are basically the exact same thing
get one with a nose and tail and it will be "more street" than one with only a tail.
aim for concave and a width between 8" & 9" to make flips a little easier.

you can easily do the same tricks you can on a street board with a "pool" board
it would just take a little more exaggeration

    start skating.

It just takes a little more effort to ollie and flip a wider/heavier board, that's the only real difference...

i like a little more concave and a little larger wheelbase on my pool boards than a typical kick-flipper

    Ok thanks guys.
I like the look of just having a single kick though, what would be pro's and con's of this??
    cheers

It just makes the board unidirectional. Kicks help me lock in, so maybe try to find a board with a kick and a nose that curves up just a little bit to help you lock in.

If you do tricks like shuvits or something then you just have to re-orient the board to do another trick, but honestly it's just preference, i like the look of single kicks as well.

Those videos of Mark Gonzalas and Natas are sick. . . what sort of wheels do you think they were using, that is how size and duro to ride such varied terrain?

Gonz and Natas and Chin are heros to the sport and it's true you can rock an old school style board and bust awesome sh#t. My board of choice after having it for only a week and a half is the Brad Edwards Gravity 40". It is more of a transition board kick nose tail concave and 9" longer than a street board. The deck is $149 on your website, but the thing sheds flips and pops like none other I've ridden. This is like the fourth or fifth thread I've posted my enthusiasm about this board on cuz I'm so stoked on it. I'll post a video on youtube of the last few days riding it late next week under kevseadog. Keep an eye out for it if you're still undecided. Good luck. Peace.

I still ride and like the single kicks. I do have a couple for sale, pretty cheap.
I went a little overboard on buying, now need to do a little selling.

Both are new. Pics below, PM me if interested
