Default What is the progression for tail stall? so frustrated

This trick has been the most frustrating for me. I have been trying tail stall for days now.
I can ride up fakie and tap the tail on the coping but I can't seem to keep my balance and ride back down like droppin in. I just manual out and fall.
    Can someone help please?
    thanks guys!

sometimes I slide my foot back on the tail so it is partially off the board. Helps keep balance a little bit

It's all depend on where you put your rear foot? If your foot is closer towards the rear trucks. it's less likey to wheelie down. A lot of people now a day skate with a "ollie stance". where the rear foot is at the edge of the tail. When you ride down the transition.More weight is on the tail, So you will wheelie down. After that, It all depend on how much you bend your knees to keep the center of balance. It all take practice. Good luck!!
