    Default boston Grindline park

I just heard that Grindline is going to build a park in boston. Apparently the biggest on the East Coast? Does anyone know if it is finished or if it's been started or when it's going to open?

I'm from Boston and travel up there from time to time and would be more motivated to do so if that park is there.

Do you mean the one under the Zakim bridge? They don't even seem able to update the website regularly. I was excited, now I am beginning to doubt it will ever happen.

Yeah the one under the Zakim bridge. It seemed like from Grindline's site and the park website that it was to be under construction and finished this year. Sounds like from what you are saying they haven't even started. I really hope it goes through, it looks like a sick park and more Grindline parks on the east coast would be good.

There is a lot of politics and confusion about the park. The CEO of Fidelity gave a lot of money to start construction. They created a board and a committee to supervise the park construction. As far as I know, they are drawing salaries and consulting fees from the foundation money
It seems they never quite have the required minimum for starting construction. This is probably because all the money is just going to pay these people rather than actually start work.
Boston is probably the worst town for anything to do sports like skateboarding, surfing or snowboarding. If you are not into baseball, better get out of town.
On the other hand, construction of a skatepark in Venice took forever before it got started
Construction Commences at New Venice Beach Skate Park | Yo! Venice!
and we are talking about the birth place of skateboarding, so Boston has no chance I think!
Would love to be proven wrong though....

Lets keep the faith I'd be really stoked for that park to go up, though I only get to boston a couple of times a year.
