search and skate - Ga Fla ditches

i have been on the hunt for ditches in the Georgia Florida area. Found a few and always looking for more.

found one the other day and with a little cleanup got a good session. Got me motivated to find more if you know what i mean.

its awesome to see all the rad stuff in Cali, AZ and Hawaii and looking forward to a road trip one day -- but its cool to find even a small local area ditch, clean it up and shred for a few hours.

post up of any pics would be cool to see. 8)

i've been trying to find ditches like this one down in volusia county. i think i might have found one on the side of I-4.
do you have a address or location of this ditch?

that ditch is in North Fla. - it is low key but dont want to bust on it... so send me a message for more info. That ditch is pretty long -- maybe 1/4 mile total. It needs to be cleaned out more.. i have worked on it some.

i have a few more in that area that i have scoped and cleaned. This one is within skating distance of my old house. I have worked and cleaned it out, weedeated and ran a blower over it. It is a nice little ditch that is good for a few quick skates (would not bring the whole posse and camp out all afternoon.

can you post up a photo of the I-4 ditch?

I've never ridden a ditch before and have been DYING to try it out.

I'd kinda given up on finding any in my home state, but now I have hope for a brighter future once again...

I go up to ormond beach every now and then to visit my gramma...

The one on I-4 is right before the Lake helen exit. they literally just put it in there last week.
and today i found one on the back side of 92 but it needs to be cleaned up a bit.

dont despair - if you search enough you will find ditches in FLa.

another random slightly off the radar ditch in North Fla. Needs a fresh cleaning.

the best ditch in GA?

pinckneyville park in gwinnett county

anyone know of any other good ditches in GA-FL? Saw photos where piedmont park ditch got bulldozed.

there is opportunity if you slow down and take a good look.

i found this old structure near a powerline south of Vidalia. It could easily be drained and pressure washed out. The upper transition could be smoothed out with a few bags of cement.

anyone out there finding cool ditches and places like this to skate?

Been lookin around Jax for a few good ditches, but few n far between. Some of those spots seem aite

just skated a sweet ditch north of Omega on 319. Cops are cool. The local sheriff drove by and stopped me. Said he used to ride a Caballero deck and he sat around as I got another run. I have a photo but couldnt post up. Check it out and help clean it out if you can.

this ditch is local sheriff friendly -- no probs.. just clean up some trash before you leave

Check this ditch out. It's in west Orlando. It was covered in the 70's, the lower half was hand dug back out in the mid 80's. Looks free and clear now. Just go after a dry spell. Haven't been there in many years.

there are ditches everywhere in florida. lots of rainfall needs lots of drainage.

Take a weekend and drive into Gainesville, There are some good ones surrounding the town

I love this thread, and ditch skating for that matter. While growing up in the 80's in South Alabama all we had were ditches. Some of the best times.. Awesome pics!

Local Ditch in Broken Arrow Oklahoma. Me and some friends spent a few days clearing it. Broke a few fingers shredding the ditch.
A pretty short ride, but fast and intense!
The banks are about 4 or 5 feet tall
