cranky old guy
So I was skating at our park today and some of the kids started unscrewing one of the fences and shaking it off (bending it in such a way that it would not be able to be put back) so they could ollie off the 6' drop. I got really pissed and got on their case saying that if we mess with the park like that it could be shut down.
They stopped but definatly thought I was raining on their fun and being a party pooper. I suppose I was too heavy with them in retrospect, I could have said what I thought in a cooler way. . .
But where's the line between modifiying a park for more possiblities and damaging and disrespecting it?

Re: cranky old guy

imo, Considering they already had to temerity to vandalize public property, if you'd have politely suggested they shouldn't do that, they'd have probably told you to go grab stinkbug and mind your own business. I'd have barked at 'em too. Again, imo, you did stress your concern over the park getting closed to all.
Too bad there's not more who do something besides just mumble under their breath and look the other way.

Re: cranky old guy
I would have said something too. Skater to skater, as it might
have meant more to them, than coming from some abstract person.
