Bowl/banks board w loose front trucks ??

I have recently taken my home-made board to the local park with skatebowls. The board is about 32 (82 cm) long with about 17,5 (45 cm) wheelbase. I use the board for flatland cruising so it's setup with Carver C7 6'5'' trucks and 70mm 78a /0's Flashback wheels. Neither trucks or wheels are ideal for pool riding - I know. (But it's the best surf-skate you can find!)

Any ideas for a setup for the bowl/banks I wanna skate? I really like the loose front trucks but the Carver is a bit too much here.

I thought about the Gravity 33' Roger Mihalko deck, maybe something a bit shorter. Other ideas?
I want the front trucks looser than the rear. Would it work in a bowl with Bennet at the fron and more traditional rear trucks?

I live in Copenhagen, Denmark and we don't have any shops here that sell anything but the regular vert/street boards and tiny 50 mm wheels so I depend on you guys to give me useful input.

I haven't skated for that long so keep that in mind.

any wider popsicle (8- 8.5'') with indys and 56- 60mm wheels should be all you need for skating the bowls and banks. if you want the front trucks to turn quicker, wedge them.

Grind King's 8.0
Spitfire F1 Parkburner wheels 58mm

OR

LAX Pool Deck 9x33
Indy 169
Abec 11 No Skoolz 94a

I second the Indy's. If you can't get your hands on them you could give the tracker dart 161mm a try. They have a surf feel out of the pool, but are really stable in the pool. Very predictable truck.

I really like the feel of the Carver trucks - the board just feels so 'alive' under your feet. The setup I'm looking for should be slightly bigger than the normal popsicle board and have turnier front trucks than rear.
Maybe I'll give Indy 169 a try (are they too wide?). Wedged at front and with looser kingpin. Any bushing setup that I should consider buying for them?

I love bones bushings on my LAX board with 169's. Try the Yellow ones.

Don't forget about Ace trucks too. They are pretty darn sick. Ace 55s are a nice sub for Indy 169s. And in some ways even better.

I have to keep reminding my self that my 169's are stage 8. So that skews my opinion a bit, cause in my opinion those are better (more versatile) than stage 10's.

I have a set of stage 8s as well. The hanger is much beefier than the 10's. Also double drilled base plates, which come in handy. Other than that I don't find the ride any better or worse than stage 10s.

I found Ace trucks homepage but discovered they are not in the 'Trucks review' section here on the 'fish. Maybe you should poste a review there Stringtheory?

Do you alle ride same trucks front and rear in pools? Why?

How about those Bennet - are they any good in pools/bowls? I was thinking as front truck.

As for a deck, there's a super deal on Gravitys 32" darin "cookiehead" jenkins Pro Model at $35 now:

Don't be fooled by Gravitys shipping calculator, if you email them, they can ship with USPS, a deck only should be around $35-40 to Denmark. Bennetts are super fun trucks, but there can be issues with grinding, that doesn't stop people from using them though.

Heres a review of ace. Low quality trucks that bend.. Buy indys.

I've read that they are better than the current Indys. Better bushing seat+stock bushings, and some other positives mentioned below. It seems you've had a lot of bending issues but there are claims that this issue has been resolved.

I've been riding Ace 66 for two years and have liked them, but I just switched them for Tracker Darts for a change. I'm still getting used to the Trackers and don't have an opinion. Yeah they say Ace bend, actually mine look slightly bent but I don't notice it when I ride them. Some folks also avoid them as they are appantly made in China.

My experience in the bowl/banks:
Started with Bennetts on a Gravity Bertlemann. Super quick turning which can be challenging if you are just learning. I also got freaked out by the low kingpin nut hanging up.
Tried Tracker Sixtracks on a 9 x 33 pool deck with 1/4 inch risers and 60mm ABEC11 Noschoolz. Stable but found that I had to lean hard to get the turn that I wanted. For me, they weren't "predictable."
Switched to Indy 169s with yellow Bones hardcore bushings cranked down a bit to prevent wheelbite. Perfect.
