Snakerun Park?

hello all! i have been lurking awhile and enjoy the forum immensely-great source of knowledge from all areas of LBing.

i was thinking about something and wanted to get some feedback from ppl here.

having never ridden a snake run, i think it would be awesome to have a park dedicated to carving and longboarding. no ledges, stairs, pyramids, rails...just a smooth, flowing, slideable, concrete snakerun.

I dont really like skating todays parks-IMO they are more obstacle course than park, but i am biased

would there be enough interest/support for something like that to fund it publicly? or would it have to be a renegade park like Washington st. in SD?

and you have ridden a snake run right????? I can say with confidence that a well built snakerun park will see enough use that people don't grow board with it. If memory serves me right Vancouver has one, so does Kona and Baltimore....I used to make the trip to TJ to skate the ghetto snakerun and if it were still there I'd likely still brave the border when I visit my in-laws....Even the Kickflipper set seem to have fun on snake runs it's just hard to justify building a new park like that unless you have a bunch of existing newschool type parks. My guess it that if any city were to build a new snake run it would be Portland with their embrace of all things concrete

yea ive skated the kona one. i thought he meant a giant one for bombing and whatnot but i never really had any more fun on a snake run than i do in a bowl or on a nice hill
