I started on Longboards, but hit a few outdoor skateparks this Summer. I still longboard, but I am currently addicted to the sensation of pumping transitions. I know the public concrete skateparks can be loaded with groms and haters all flippin their boards, but have you ever tried an indoor skatepark built with massonite?
Get a wide, old skool, pool deck on some wide trucks and hit a local indoor park. Its fast, scarey, and freakin smooth. You ain't gotta flip it to have a good time. These type parks are typically jammed full of ramps and are quite different from the concrete skateparks, there are fresh lines in every direction, and the copings are typically much more reachable (3-6 ft high, vs 10ft bowls in concrete skatepark). Oh yeah, and you can skate while its raining outside. I love longboarding because of the smoothness, I believe this is why I like these massonite parks so much as well.
