    Default PPS Ditchkiller reborn?

Looks like Madrid has put out a board like the PPS Ditchkiller. I'm guessing that Madrid made the decks for PPS at one time. It's called the Karma. 42" long, 9" wide, 25" wheelbase.

Too many boards that I don't ride enough...

Looks like a really fun deck.

To answer your question, no we did not copy the ditch killer. We did make the ditch killer for PPS back when they were in production, but the "Karma" model was born from the fact that PPS stopped making a big ditch board and there were a few things I didnt like about the PPS ditch killer. Also, the trucks were not photo shopped in! Expect a "Karma" video soon!!!

I wasn't implying a copy, just thought you guys made it for them a while back. I've got a couple Madrid decks (Store Runner and El Cochino) and really like them. Is this deck stiffer than the PPS deck? I had a Ditchkiller and it was too flexy. If it is stiffer, I'll be looking to get one soon.

Mercano, could you please explain what you did not like about the PPS and what changes you made to this one. What is going to be the flex?

    THX!!!

Hey Gary the Avenger is awesome, THX again man!!!
Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, cold beer in one hand - longboard in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and screaming, Yeaa Haaa What A Ride!!!

Gary - The current wood combo is about as flexy as the old ditch killer. Wait till the next run and they will be stiffer.

PMC - I changed the nose, wheel wells and wheel base.

The ditch killer nose was long narrow and pointy, pretty much a spear. Actually, it was kinda like a bee stinger; You would nail someone or something, implail the object then it would break off. So I gave it a bigger nose to prevent that and you can do nose wheelies now.

The wheel wells on the ditch killer were too big and created a narrow area near the back truck. This would make it weak and we saw alot of focused ditch killers back when they were in production. I made the wheel wells on the Karma slightly shallower and not as deep. so you have clearance and less likely to snap.

Last thing I changed was the wheelbase. The ditch killer Wheel Base was I belive 26 1/2 .he Karma is 25. No real reasoning behind this, I just like a 25 wheel base on my ditch board.

Hope all that helped. Please post up if any of you have any more questions. I need all the feedback I can get!

This looks like a sweet deck!
I like the larger tail and would welcome a stiffer layup.

I like a 25-26" wheelbase..a happy agile yet stable medium.

No matter how many times you youngins call it a manual, it's a Nose Wheelie. Dang whippersnappers!! Get off my lawn!!!!

Good changes Andrew. I'll get one from the next run.

Hmm, should I give this deck a try or just stick to the one I built a while ago...

    Bump time!

I'm getting quite interested in one of these but I have a few technical questions, so if you've got some good answers chime in!

    1) Is this thing rock solid stiff? I really want it to be stiff.
    2) I'm gonna run Indys of course. I know it's made for 169s but anyone try running 149s? I think it could be fun.
    3) What's the wheel clearance situation? I'm thinking Orangatang 86A and I'm just wondering if I should go with Stimulus or Fat Frees.

Can't wait to hear the responses. I can see this being a great addition to my quiver.
