Default New indoor park Evansville IN

    Check it out.

A nice looking wooden indoor park. That spine ramp looks like fun. I haven't skated something like that in years.

I'm not sure when I'll get a chance to go over and try it. Maybe Thanksgiving weekend. I'd love to skate that spine ramp. I do have a brand new set of Ace trucks that still haven't tasted coping yet. I just need to go. Skate something.

I made it over there last Sunday to get some new 60mm wheels and bearings for the short board... I won't have time to go ride it until Wednesday. The owner and his wife both work there, and are super nice people. They're open 10-10 Tuesday thru Sunday, IIRC it's $6 for a three hour session or $10 for an all-day pass.

I'll be hitting it early on Wednesday to avoid the kids, they need some sound deadening material in there as it can get LOUD when a lot of people are skating it... Their prices are really reasonable on parts too.

Been skating there all day, at 5 it started getting a bit crowded for my taste... probably wouldn't be so bad if I haven't lost all ability to ride ramps over 5 years of not doing parks and ramps. The owner said it should start emptying out in a few hours, so I'm gonna head back over after getting a bite to eat. I took a few pics with the cell phone for those who are interested:

Wow that looks like fun. Makes me wish I hadn't lost all my ramp skills. I'll still have to check that out next time I'm in Evansville. Maybe I'll even get to skate.
Do they have season passes? How much?
How well stocked is the skate shop?

They have month passes... but it's a certain number of three-hour sessions for (I think) 60 bucks-ish, I can ask them next time I'm in. No kidding on losing the ramp skills... I was never great, but I could at least rock to fakie in ages past. Today I kept blowing it just rolling most of the way up the six-foot and back down fakie, and forget about dropping in. I spent most of my day rolling down the incline next to the rail & step-up in the front of the first picture and middle of the second one, and messing around on the banks towards the back with the funbox & rail/bench thing between them. There were some folks there ripping it up though...

As far as stock, he has a room full of boards, and a counter full of everything else you would need. Plenty of blanks, and all of it new-school... though I did find a nice set of new Caballero Autobahn wheels in 60mm that fit nicely under my little park popsicle. He has mentioned that he has a few bigger decks bordering on old school because his brother prefers 'em, the one I saw (his brother's) was a Powell Peralta deck with big Indy trucks. Unfortunately I didn't see any trucks for sale down there that would work with a 9"-plus deck. He has a few of his old-school decks hanging on the barrier between the park and the shop (you can see one in the first pic), but they're just decoration. I would be surprised if he sold anything truly retro.

Blank new-school decks are $35, right now all the shoes are $46, and the cheapest bearings (Lucky bearings with metal cages) are $14. So the prices are pretty reasonable for brick & mortar stores.

I honestly wasn't sure what you had in mind product-wise, but let me know and I can ask him if he stocks it.

I was just wondering what they carried.

Looks like I might be over that way next weekend. I'm hoping to drop by there and check it out.
