    Default Custom Park Boards?

Now that I'm living in a place that has some decent parks with bowls and what not, I'm thinking about buying a park rig. My last two boards (my Swift 40 from Subsonic and Sugar T from Fatboy) have both been special to me because of the input I've had on them. I want the same with this board.

    Any suggestions?

As for the rest of the board, Tracker SixTracks and Rainskates Tsunamis or Yellow Jackets. I also intend to use this board for sliding and commuting on soft duro Noskoolz or Bertz possibly.

    Factory 13, Five Points, etc.

Custom boards are fun, but park rigs are expendable. Buy something cheap and readily available.

Hmmm.... I do suppose you're right... Besides the PPS Hammerhead, have you any suggestions where else to get one? I absolutely love the shape and must have it.

Brianferalarts will make you something sweet. Ask DZ. His OG skurf board is extra sweet.

I just keep buying and riding the Alva All American, and am moving "up" to the Gravity Brad Edwards deck.

I agree.. park boards are totaly expendable.

With out rails and a tail tap it only takes my boards about 2 months before they feel all sogy and have been razor tailed to hell..

with rails and a tail tap they last a bit longer.. but still end up feelin sogy after a while, which I really hate.. but I try and ride um untill I can't stand it anymore.

ride it till it falls apart then hang that baby on the wall to show the world how proud you are of it. be on my park deck for three months now. the rails and my general lack of skill (progressing nicely) have kept it in shape, but I can feel that the spring is slowly going from its step. good thing I got a new deck on the way!

For a great retro pig go BDS. Quality board, great shapes and cool graphics. Hard to find if you're looking for something specific but worth the trouble.

Skaterbuilt isn't really custom but it's a excellent deck with quality construction. Looks custom but isn't. Probably my next vert deck.

But I guess if I had something very specific in mind and that was the only thing that made me happy I'd go to Factory 13. Period.

The Formica SAlba is a sweet deck.... tough as nails, just like the Skaterbuilt and SH!Tbird decks... no need for rails with a formica bottom (i say, generally, no need for rails anyway, but that's just me)
Any of these are probably gonna last a good bit more than a couple months...

I think that the oversize popcycle sticks work the best. Anyone have any feedback on whether these formica decks get super sharp when worn down. I mean Ive built counter tops with formica and have cut the * out of my hand on it. It gets an edge like a serrated knife when broken.

no they tend to wear just fine ... wear down like a layer of wood would, just slower....
now fibreglass on the other hand .... splinter city ....

I think I still have an imbedded splinter from my Uncle wiggly composite that stuck me in 1984...those boards were sweet and light till its first slam than they'd sink their teeth in ya every chance they get
