    Default Wooo Ghetto Ramp!

    Hells yea man!

So I was skatin around in a parking lot in San Jose when I saw something off in the bushes..
    whats that? WOOD!
Damn, it was like a whole fence that someone took down and dumped in the bushes.

So I set the powell down and grabed some wood.. propped it up against a chain link fence and WALA! Ghetto ramp!

Making soul out of trash feels good. 8)

the only ramps I had as a kid were ghetto ramps. you know the kind that give you tetnus and BIG splinters. used to air off of ours into the rock yard in the trailer space next door to ours. yes, I said trailer as in trailer park so you KNOW my ramps were real ghetto 8)

Yeah, I had some ramps like that when I was a kid too.

I even sprayed graffiti on mine to make them uber cool when I was a kid.

what ghetto ramp from the 80's didn't have the old school ratbones mark tagged all over it?! I remember when my dad got done doing some home repairs after we moved out of the trailer. he let my bro and I have the leftovers. we made a sweet launch ramp with 9ft. tranny, a drop in ledge, handholes for carrying and even masonite! even my dad was impressed. too young for a car so I had to put it on my board like a scooter to take it to our favorite skate spots cuz mine was the only one big enough. got some col scars from that ramp.

    Nice!

I've totaly been wanting to make some ramps lately but I have no place to use them around my house, and what I wana make won't fit in my car.

I also wanted to build a roll-on rail to grind on.. since I can't ollie.

One of these days when I buy a house i'm totaly gona have a wooden bowl in my back yard. Everyone tells me I should do crete, but it'd prolly drop the property value.. least wood I can make plans, tear it down, and sell it to someone else to use.

make it crete and make it so it could be easily converted into a swimming pool if you had to sell.

I so want to do that. when I eventually go house shopping, don't think I won't be eyeing houses with big back yards and or pools. the realtor will prolly be showing me the moulding and I'll be thinking "does the pool have 8 or 9ft. tranny's?"

    #1 real pools are EXPENSIVE

#2 it won't be to attractive by the time I move out.. prolly cracked coping and such.

#3 I don't really like pool skating.. more of a bowl kinda guy.. more mellow trannies.

We used to take down stop signs and any other flat psuedo-stiff stuff we found laying around and put it up against wall and fences. I remember one time we stumbled upon an old roll up garage door. We grabbed some scrap wood and rigged up a quarter pipe with it. Thats was fun for a few days until the owner found out what we were doing.
