then ended up being out of the 60mm bones, so I am getting the 58s. Its a little disappointing, but I am still pumped. Maybe I should have just waited for them to get more in later in the week... but I want it noooww.

Re: Post your Pool/Park setups!
yea, but I already have a set of the 56mm so I was looking for more of a difference between my current stuff and new stuff. the 60s are also 3mm wider than the 58s.

Re: Post your Pool/Park setups!
3mm is quite a lot of a difference in width! But you don't want that wide of a wheel in pool, I kinda regret getting wheels as wide asmine, instead of some slim Blackfartz

I would like to have one of these too, but I would have gone with the toxic green instead. How are the No Skoolz for parks? The ones you have seem like they would be too soft. Is yours the 10.25" or the 8.5"

I have been riding 60mm 96a's since 2003. I love the added width (I still live in the 70's). They are predictable and plenty fast for me. The centered bearing/wide wheel is a good combination. I pump hard and generate speed thru carve lines, I have never had limitations because of the wheels' speed capability. I ride tranny and roundwall pretty much exclusively. Is a taller narrower harder wheel faster? sure. But in my experience the grip/slide relationship is more abrupt and less predictable. I HATE SLICK TERRAIN (surface finish or wheel induced). I have a set of 98a's that I ride sometimes, but usually go back to the 96a's. I also have a set of 65mm-92a that I ride on a retro board in parks, and they fly once they get rolling. I also recently got some 60mm-92a (thanks Slim) to play with too.

Re: Post your Pool/Park setups!
I dunno what's special with the urathane of Abec 11 wheels, but I just don't like 'em, especially the noskoolz in pool. Instead of having a lot of grip, and the losing it suddenly, the no skoolz kinda slip slowly all the time, and it kinda feels like #### (for me). Hard, smooth surface, hard, smooth wheels is my motto! But everyones different, and that's what makes this world a great place

Don't worry about it, other people don't care and are generally very nice and helpful. Plus one of the great things about pools in my brief experience is that if you can ride a skateboard a bit, you can get in a bowl carve around and have a lot of fun.

do you skate Masonite parks at all? Do you use the SPF wheels there too? I tried it last night and it was very slippery, I am not sure how I feel about it yet, both the Masonite and using SPFs on it.

Re: Post your Pool/Park setups!
I just got my Purple Skunk deck, it looks totally sweet, but it may be a few days before I can actually ride it due to bad weather in the area. The people at PS are also really nice and friendly, they also packed a ton of swag in with my board.

Re: Post your Pool/Park setups!
My stuff will be a different take on the park/pool set-ups. I ride old style and old restored boards, pretty much across the whole spectrum of disciplines. The only true modern board I have, with respect to shape or contour is my Axe slalom board. Even my longboard is 8.25x39 single kick with full-tracks and Cambrias similar to the 77/78 vintage stuff. Here are two pics of my tranny riders. The StruckBoards set-up is my main rider for tranny and roundwall. The StruckBoard would be the one I would be riding if you were to run in to me somewhere skating on a trip. The smaller custom (cut down from old pig) is used specifically for serious tight trannies in real pools and also for small mini ramps where lighter weight and quicker action is required.
StruckBoard 31x 9 3/8, 16" wheelbase, 6.5 tail (old style pattern), with 9" GW Pros and 60mm-96a NoSkoolz, home made rails. Pic was shortly after I built up the board before I really "adopted" it . This particular board is now trashed and was replaced with an identical one but with Struck silkscreening. No pics yet, but seriously cool checkerboard bottom.
Small custom 29.5 x 9, 15.5 wheelbase, 6" tail (old style pattern), with 9" GW Pros and 60mm-96a Noskoolz (narrowed on one side with a lathe), home made rails

Re: Post your Pool/Park setups!
Hey Rawls, have you seen one of these?
Western Edition put them out a little while ago. Graphics are like a tribute to every board I wanted back in the 70's.... I'm normally not a sucker for graphics, but in this case........
10 X 31.5 , 17" wheelbase, Indy's and Tunnels
Longboard is not a verb.
