    Default Best parks for longboards?

So which skateparks have any of you found to be very longboard friendly? Which parks are set up in such a way that longboards can be skated there without feeling cramped and such? Kona is a given. The snakerun alone makes that a longboard heaven.

    LANSDOWNE SKATEPARK!!!

its the cousin to Kona, they were built within 6 months of eachother back in the 70's. its in Baltimore, MD. two snake runs, smaller one goes into a freestyle bowl and the larger one leads into a big banked bowl. make the pilgrimmage at least once and you WILL come back for more! if you want directions and pics check out: concretedisciples.com.

hey you live in alabama!, check this out - it made me drool the first time i saw the pics of the GetAWay Skatepark. man i wish i lived in the seventies and was part of the small longboarding cult back then... the pics will speak for themselves...

Anything with a snakerun or flowbowl is good to go on the big wood.

Try the Cannonbowl in Nashville... I love it on my Gravity 39" Carve, and I'm gonna flow it on my SurfOne 44" Classic.

Boulder and Denver are fun on longer boards. Make sure you got the sticky wheels witcha for the latter, though.

I work right down the street from where Get-A-Way. There is a spot where some of the old park is sticking out of the ground. I never got to got it or even see it myself.

I remember when it opened. My folks wouldn't take me or let me have a skateboard. Then we moved to Mississippi and by time we moved back it had been bulldozed. A bunch of those regulars are still skating or starting back. Some of them are getting into longboard now also.

That's a good site. Lots of good photos. Some good articles too. Check it out.

I've been to a few cement parks where the trannies are too tight for longer wheelbases. It sucks. Can't hit anything head on.

Whats so good about montrose? I have never been there but my Uncle lives there and used to run a whitewater rafting company. I do visit sometimes so I am wondering what kind of stick I should bring?

I was there about 4 yrs ago. Its just a nice smooth park. It has some very smooth carvable lines throught the park. Supposedly they added a phase 2 sinece then. My grandparents live in Ouray about 20mn from the park. We are planning a spring trip out there now
