Hung, Thats awesome. Did you take any more pics of it? For the readers of this thread, do you guys realize that the footage shown in the video, as well as the bowl (and funky snake-like run) predate Carlsbad. I would not think it weird if the original surface had bee asphalt. In the black and white photos I have in some of old books, it looks as if it was asphalt. In the videos, it looks more whiter in color, but those vids are quite old.
Please send me the pics that you took, I would love to have them.

Hung, If I were a bettin' man, I would say the remaining bank is that first banked turn, first seen at the 18-19-20 second point in the youtube video, and many many times after that. Another real good view is at the 1:34 second point. Beyond that everything is obviously gone, and the ground level drastically changed for the picnic/playground area. The tree line may give some clues. Also obvious, is that asphalt has been added as filler in areas that were originally dirt to make for a wider path.
Here is a conceptual sketch of the layout, and it does sort of follow the tree line somewhat.
thanks for making that trip and taking some photos.
Revised. Image 674001 directly corresponds with the 1:47 second point in the video. Also 1:47-1:59 is the best overview of the whole run.
