ive always wanted to add a bit of some street flair to my longboarding. the problem im facing is im bad. what are some good easy things to add to my longboarding. im thinking bonelesses (down atleast 2 or 3 stairs), ollies. anything else that wouldnt be too much trouble to learn?
I always thought POP shuv-its look good at the right times. their fairly easy, with some commitment.
also, dont forget bonless variations. once you get a boneless down, its not too hard to spin around or flip the board with your hand or something.
no-complys are pretty easy. The problem i had was understanding them. but it looks realll cool when you get a no-comply and flip the board around with your foot.
ollie up curbs, down stairs, boardslides on parking blocks,
it really depends what kind of board you have.... i mean, you can basically "branch out" and do anything on certain longboards that you can on skateboards.
It all depends on what board you have. If you've got a pintain, sure, you can do no-complies, bonelesses and variations. Ollies are possible to. Try varial flips on a pintail. If you land one, put it on youtube.
I think you just need to get a more specific longboard for a more street influenced skating. Do you still want flex, camber, etc. I would think of getting something like a Loaded Fish or a BE40. Both are quite different, but both are big.
ok, thanks for the help guys
i have a be40 for sliding but normally ride a swallowtail board.
im definitely gonna try bonelesses but in previous attempts i have crashed and burned at ollites
it also doesn't hurt to have a dedicated board for learning tricks.
there's some kind of 'synergy effect', when i'm switching back and forth between my cruiser longboard, and popsicle stick. i like to be able to do all my stuff on either board, and that def. helps my overall board control,
at least for me that is.

I always thought that doing grinds and boardslides when your at the park adds a little flair. I ride a gravity 39" and treat it like its a popsicle deck.
Ollies
Manuals
Variels
Boneless
and always remember to throw slides in, especially at the park, its soo rad. When I go to the skatepark, I try to find flowy style lines and look for good inclines to do slides. My style revolves around sliding, so thats how I base alot of the tricks that I do, and try to incorporate other tricks as well.
