Up to now, the largest medium soft wheel I could find were the 65mm Rainskates. Anyone know anything bigger, and just as soft? There are a couple of really nice spots, but unfortunately the ground is quite rough, and I'm not sure even 65's would do the job. Or am I being rediculous?
65mm is large enough me, and a size/general weight I have found to be quite adequate for holding momentum whilst being tricky.
If you want to go larger, maybe check out some Abec 11 70mm Flashbacks or 77mm Strikers in the 85a range, though the riser compensation to avoid wheelbite may get you into the "tippy" range. I've never tried either on a park setup, so not sure about those.
Rainskates makes great products.
Also, the always-serviceable Powell Black Bombers are 85a and go up to 68mm.
yeah around 60mm will do the job. mini tsu's are GREAT wheels. i don't recommend the bombers because they are core- less and don't hold the bearings too well after a while, wear out fast too.

i ride some 92flashbacks. with flashies, you can go harder, cuz there's so much urethane, it feels softer. however, they were WAY slower than my 97a Gbones at the park. unless it's really lousy surface, i'd stick with something more "street" or pool oriented. on the other hand, for the really crappy sidewalks and streets around here, the flashies are pretty sweet. big enough to get over cracks and bumps and pebbles, enough thane for a comfy ride, hard enough to shove into standups and so on.
you dont want to go too big or you will risk getting wheel bite, 65 is plenty big and you dont want to go too soft or it will be hard making corrections from landing crooked and such
