Default Proper size deck for a dude my size?

I am about 5'11'', 140lbs, size 11-ish shoes and am learning to ride bowls and the like on my santa cruz reissue salba tiger (33x10.25). I'm not really trying to bust all kinds of crazy tricks, just want to be able to carve up a pool and go fast in it. I was wondering what a good length/width for a dude my size would be? I'd rather not ride a popsicle, my roommate has a 32x8 or so and I think that's too narrow and lame. I would probably go for something more like a deck from cold war skates or the like, I'm a fan of less-popsicles if you haven't noticed.

My question is what's a good size deck for a my-sized person?
