I love Lomography, just never had the money or time to throw down on a film camera.

one of my more recent 'lomo shots'. As a photographer l kind of really enjoy the simplicity of it all, but I hate how gimicky it is at the same time - by that I mean how cheap cameras sell for a fortune because they've got the lomo-logo

are these the med format cameras that are wicked cheap and come with a bunch of different lense formats? like fisheye, or 8frames and all that such stuff?

yea they are, this is what mine looks like

It is a little hard to pay 40 bucks for a camera thats almost all plastic, but if you look at it in terms of engineering and in comparison to other real cameras (digital or *gasp* film) its such a bargain.
if it really bothers you, you could always order a clone off ebay, just search lomo diana and there should be a ton of cameras that are the exact same as the older dianas since they were made in the same factory and just stamped with a different brand
google search lomography if you're still curious

The whole medium-format film plus crappy optics thing confuses me, but whatever. I'll be chilling with my digital camera on f/22, getting insane depth of field.

Large format is still king for huge (Thomas Demand or Andreas Gursky-scale) pictures, but high end digital is catching up to medium format film.

f22 with a digital sensor? Are you sure you're not diffraction limited?

I'm not quite sure what you all are talking about, but I do know that I'm running a 30 year old Minolta (X70 I think, something along those lines), it's film, and I love it.... Though I'd really, really, enjoy a nikon D-series.

Losers, my camera blows all your fancy homographer and digital wastes of money out of the water. Heres my baby:

I get pretty insane depths of field, can accept medium format film, a f/22 raptor mode, optional DSL attachments for internet connection, and SURELY its NOT diffraction limited.

    I don`t like "Lomography"

It seems to be all hype from the webiste Lomography.com wich want to sell you cheap cameras at 3x the prices everywhere else

IMO "real" Lomography can only be done with a original Lomo LCA camera, a Diana isn`t a Lomo, neither is a Holga or any other camera the try to call "Lomo"

That said, I like Dianas and Holgas(I`m on my third) much more, I wouldn`t touch anything "Lomo"

    Here`s a Holga snap:

i'll stick to doing commercial jobs with my DSLR and making my art with a canon AE1 35mm camera...does the job, just gotta love 35....i'd like a med/large format camera- but i cant afford it right now.
