"Palm Trees in the Sky"

No post processing done on this picture since i just got a new macbook and have yet to get an editing program. Straight out of the camera! I'm really happy with my results.
My favorite firework picture out of like the 500 pictures I took. Let's see those firework shots!

Re: official photography thread
its kodak Bwcn, 400 speed. theres a green tinting to most of the set. i heard its because i got them developed at 1hour lab, and they didnt use a scanner set up for black and white. i'm gonna get a pack of some kodak tmax and try "real b&w". Right now i'm just getting my feet wet with photos, but i have a feeling i prefer the intimacy of film over digital. any recommendations on solid entry level film slr would be met with open arms. I was thinking a pentax k1000 because of its acclaimed reputation as a student camera, but its been out of production for over a decade....
heres one more:

Re: official photography thread
FL_RIDER_93, i meant what camera but never mind...
the Pentax are/were pretty standard student cameras because they were affordable and the lenses were very good. These days however, if you're shooting film you've got the pick of a long history of cameras which people are selling relatively cheaply to 'go digital'. Get on this fast because prices of film SLRs are on the rise again.
Personally I'm an Olympus user. I have an OM4ti which I bought as at a stupidly cheap price - I still write postcards to the guy I bought it off because I feel guilty. It doesn't matter how much the OM4ti is worth though, the best camera I ever owned was an OM2n with 50mm f1.8 (right now I have the 50mm 1.4 and I can't wait to sell it for the f1.8 because it's such a better lens.)
Olympus were the smallest and lightest SLRs. My friend recently scored an internship with the documentary photographer Eugene Richards and I always thought that he was a leica man but apparently [according to her] his main camera is an om1, which I find very interesting.
At the end of the day it really doesn't matter what camera you've got, just that you go out and use it!
