Re: official photography thread
I've been very bored recently.
Bored with work, bored of being single, bored of being broke, bored of taking pictures all the time. bored.
So I went round to my mate's house and we started with a civil game of scrabble, which went down hill before we'd even properly stated.

I won despite my awesome collection of letters.

I think my friends are getting bored of me taking photos too

So really scrabble wasn't cutting it at cheering me up, So we went out to a nice rough pub with an 'interesting' mix of people, sat down outside and tried to enjoy the 'ambiance'...
...there wasn't really any 'ambiance', just this crazy woman waving a cigarette in some guy's face and screaming. This picture looks good natured, like she knows him and they're having a joke, but apparently he just told her that he's going to kill her and she's laughing and telling him to #### off because she's going to burn his eyes out with her cigarette.

I thought it was kind of funny because I never actually heard what he said, but when he got up to leave I was like 'wtf is in the bottle?' and it had a big 'flammable' sticker on the other side...

So after my quick little success of taking some sneaky pictures out in the beer garden I got a little bolder and took some inside too. As per our conversation on 'candid photos' earlier in the thread, I just put the camera to my eye and pushed the shutter button. I don't know these people, and only the girl at the bar looked at me, and all I did was smile and she smiled back. Sorted.

We went back to my mate's flat and we smoked a little and I thought I took loads of photos of his house mate, but I was well past my limit and there wasn't any film in the camera.
I had work really early the next day. There was no one about, I felt like the sky.

No more cheerful sadly.
Sorry if there are too many photos in this post. I figured the smaller size would be ok.
Larger Res on my flickr and I will update my blog oneday. I wont be posting any more pictures here for a while I promise.
Ha. Apparently I have scanned over 3300 photos in the last 13 months of having my Neg Scanner. That's an average of around 8 films a month, not bad going.

Re: official photography thread
Lexx, if you don't mind my asking, what scanner are you using? I have a flatbed, but it seems like it's quitting on me. I keep getting a line in my scans, and recently, random color artifacts. So it might be time to look for a new one.
On the 4th of July, my friends and I didn't know what to do. So we randomly took a 14 hour straight road trip, and visited Lake Erie. Kinda crazy. We left at 6PM, touched the lake at 1:30 AM, and arrived home at 9AM... haha.

There was a fire incident across the street, so being the kind loving person, I took advantage of the scene

Re: official photography thread
...So maybe I'm going to get a digital slr soon so I was wondering if I should get a Canon Eos Rebel, or a Nikon D40?
Or maybe you guys have a totally different suggestion. Those just seemed like good starter slrs.
I want to be able to go hiking, etc. with it so it shouldn't be too heavy or really fragile.
thanks, and sorry for the double post
