Here's a couple favorites I took from summer vacations. The beach one was taken with my Canon d60 and the escalator one was taken on a point and shoot Powershot

I just got my first camera after beginning a photography class this year. I got a Nikon D60 with the stock 18-55mm AF-S VR and a 55-200mm AF-S VR. Here is a picture i took with a D40 from my class.

Ciotti, very cool and not too overdone. Awesome whisping clouds especially on that first one that seems to really flow with the ripples in water. On that last one, did it not look as good with a vignette?

Thanks for the kind words man, the sun is so bright dead center in that last one that I didn't think it needed the vignette to draw your eyes towards the center. I'm as minimalist as possible when it comes to Photoshop so that it forces me to take better pictures

I took a very basic lighting class the other night. My transmitter wasn't synced to the other strobe. So I got one strobe and some shadows. I actually like how it came out.

If you dont like blondes, then move on.

I like that shot a lot, even though you did lose the outline of her face on the dark side because the background went completely black, it almost works because it makes it very dramatic and your eye is drawn to the lit side of her face. Good shot
