If the film is that old it may be expired, no way to know though I guess till you finish shooting it though.

Just starting learning about alternative processes now in my photo class, Cyanotypes are lots of fun and look beautiful.

WOW where are you getting such a complete photography class?
Cyanotype is a type of Daguerrotype process right? a very toxic one? hahaha good luck
Just dropped off a slide film for C-41 developement and a normal color film too.

I'm minoring in photography at my college, and we have 5 photo classes I think. (1 deals with B/W film, I'm in 2 right now which is B/W alternative processes, 3 is color digital, 4 is color film, and finally 5 is large format film)

I'm planning to do a study abroad to Montepulciano, Italy this summer and doing photo 3 & 4. Extremely looking forward to that.

And yeh, Cyanide isn't something you really want to get on your skin...or anywhere lol

Picking up my Tokina 100mm f/2.8 Macro lens tomorrow. So stoked. I had my heart set on the canon with the same specs but it's quite a bit more expensive and I'm a bit strapped right now. But on further review I've come across a ton of reviews where the tokina has got best in class for macros, so now I'm pretty excited about my decision! I'm sure I'll be posting a ton of pics soon.

I'm getting this lens for $320 in like-new condition. Happened to find a guy locally selling it on eBay! Retail is $399 roughly. The canon 100mm f/2.8 I've seen no cheaper than $515 in person and maybe $480 or so through mailorder.

Another thing too is that the tokina comes with a lens hood and the canon doesn't, so that's even more money you potentially have to spend.

Thanks, no there are no filters used on any of those photos. Just my trusty Rebel XSi, tripod and 50mm f/1.8

That bugs me about Canon lenses, barring some L-series lenses, none of them come with lens hoods.

Yeah seriously that is annoying. Both my tamron 28-300 and now this tokina have come with hoods, both of which are very good quality.

Alright, so i just got home with my new lens and ran out back to take a few shots. this is a few of the ones i came out with. i auto-corrected a couple of them just to check out the difference, because i forgot i had my saturation boosted a bit on my camera.

overall im very happy with my purchase!
