Re: official photography thread
Hey guys, I'm completely new to photography but would like to get into some casual stuff this summer, mainly outdoors. I found a Nikon FM2 and a Vivitar v2000 in my parents' closet, if that means anything to you guys. They have a lens attached to each of them but I don't really know what size they are -- hell, I couldn't even figure out how to detach them.
I come to this thread in hopes that you guys will be willing to answer my stupid questions, unless there's another thread which I completely missed. If that's the case, please just point me in the right direction.
My first question is what kind of film to buy. Seeing as how I'm new, I was just going to go to Wal-Mart or something and pick up a few rolls. I asked my dad about it and he said ISO 100 was the standard for film in Taiwan, but apparently in America the standard is ISO 200. Wal-Mart sells ISO 200 and ISO 400 film; will I see much of a difference between either of them?

Re: official photography thread
I just ordered chemicals and other darkroom equipment to deveolop black and white film in a developper tank. I'm really excited and i've read a lot about it, but i'm just wondering if anyone has any tips in general that they've learned over the years. also, how do you guys regulate the temperature of your chemicals if they're powder and are premixed?
I hope to get some pics up this weekend since i'll be getting all of my stuff on friday.
