Default Deity Outlaw Race X2 Final Info!!

    Deity Outlaw x2!!

Here is the finalized info on the deity outlaw number two! Due to Pagan being out of town that weekend we will not be throwing the race in Estes Park after all. We skated a number of hills for possible outlaw races, but could not find anything suitable for all skill levels. We do have a few more possible hills, but time has become an issue.

Due to this we will be racing again at the overlook hill where we had our last race.

We should have plenty of sponsors and shwag to throw out so make sure you are there!

    Race Details:

-Cash pay outs for first, second, and third place.
-One Deity Custom complete to win!
-Double elimination format (means you get to race at least two heats!!)
    -Heats of 4
    -Deity boards to demo!
    -Random first heats
    -Tons oh practice runs
    -Shwag
    -It Kyles b-day!
    -Seriously, just be there.

Sounds like fun. Maybe this time I can get there early enough for a couple of practice runs.
I still owe you guys $10 for the last one. Found it sitting in my console on the drive home.

Well from the poll we took, the majority of people wanted something about the same speed. We have a ton of hills that are faster that we can race, but I'm just concerned about the safety of kids with no leathers bombing in a pack of 4. We will be stepping up the hills slowly, by the end of the summer we will be racing some fast tech stuff. So get ready! These first couple races are our grassroots to get everyone ready to race.

The next race will be GNAR. So get your game face on.

sounds good, i just think racing the same hill twice isn't a good idea. the same people will dominate again and stuff

Believe me, the same people will dominate on faster, more tech hills. In fact, people with less skills will be left further behind. If you (not specifically you) were falling and struggling on overlook, there's no way in hell you'll be able to skate harder runs.

I think it will be fine, it will help get more people into it. And besides, if you felt like you could have done better last time, here's your chance to prove it.

Though, I do have another hill in mind, if anyone wants to come check it out with me. We;d have to talk to some of the locals, but it's not as tech or fast as the last one I took you guys too, heh.

Well, its true that good riders will do well. Its not going to really matter where we skate or what hills we race, more skilled riders will do better. And as for racing the same hill again, we really didn't want to, but we ran out of time. Plus overlook is almost impossible to get shut down on, which is going to be a HUGE problem at almost any other hill we race. Given the location, intensity of the hill, etc... its a perfect location.

And don't worry, the next hill will be gnarly. Crazy corners, sweepers, fast. We should have a vid of the race course by the Monday after the race on the 5th.

Plus, everyone gets a second chance! woo!

Also, if you have someone who wants to race but is not on the fish, just let me know their name and I will add them to the list we are keeping.

    GO SKATE!

At the first overlook race I expressed my opinion that we should try to stick another hill in between overlook races but that another overlook race was a great idea...I still think its a great idea, and I think its the best idea to not step up the hills too quickly.

Hopefully thursdays NOCO outlaw will show us how everyone handles raw speed with a nice easy 35-40 mph run...From what Ive been told by Schwaf, the run we passed up to do overlook is actually pretty similar just faster and longer.

I for one am looking forward to doing overlook again, only this time I plan to be more prepared and do far better. Double elimination sounds interesting, and no matter what it will be another good time. Im going to shoot for the "most improved rider" award this time, because "most epic wipeout" is too painful to shoot for twice...

Armpit road rash almost fully healed, forearm and wrist should be good by next overlook!!!

Im pumped for all this racing!!

Also, Joel, look forward to meeting my wife on thursday, and with any luck she will come to overlook on the 5th as well!
