NOCO Outlaw #3
FIRST OF ALL SIGN UP FOR THE DEITY OUTLAW #2!!!!
Overlook is SWEET to run, do not back out for something lame, two free decks were given to people who did not place well at all and lots of free wheels and other schwag so for the love of skating SHOW UP!!!!!!
Next NOCO outlaw is on Thursday July 16th!!
Time will likely be 6:30-7:00 this time.
Do not pass on this because you might have been bummed about CR13, as far as Im concerned it was a legit race, and it was only a dollar and some gas money to come see some awesome riders! Thanks again ZakJustinKawikaCoopJoelKyleKevin and everyone else that showed up!!!
The hill is a similar run to overlook, possibly faster if you can take the corner without wiping out! Its more technical than Overlook because the road is slightly narrower the angle is tight and the first turn(right) is very close to the next turn(left) then its a sweeping S curve down to a cul de sac.
Its a short run, but quite technical and potentially pretty fast if you can take the corners cleanly! Less of a push race on this one Im thinking, clean turns and a tight tuck through those sweepers will decide the day. I will try to post up a video of the run!
It will be a $1 buy in again, meeting place will be different, I will post directions to the meeting place and we will convoy it, partly just because I get an enormous kick out of seeing the convoy tailing behind me!! And partly because this run is so hidden that once we get up to the top and park nobody will be able to see us.
We will run a skitching vehicle due to the hidden nature of the course, it will likely be my truck, and if it is I may dip into the pot for $5 for gas, something I may offer to whomsoever offers their vehicle for shuttles in the future!
Making an event for this as soon as I figure out how!

Re: NOCO Outlaw #3
Remember guys to come with the right attitude. Its all about having fun more than anything else. These outlaws are leading to a huge Colorado Longboarding scene with connections and networking that its lacking or has lacked in the past.
Use these outlaws as an opportunity to have a great time and advance your riding skills, you will get better and better by riding with more people.
Dont stop coming guys, it was 14 at NOCO 1, 32 at NOCO 2 and 40+ at Deity 1, I have heard there will be no rider limit at Deity #2 and it needs to keep getting bigger with every event!!!!!

Any chance number 4 could happen on a weekend or at a different time? Myself and some others want to race but work M-F.

Re: NOCO Outlaw #3
Im off on thursdays, like always...so I throw them on a day that is more convenient for myself, although I do tend to throw them late in the day so that those with weekday work schedules at least have a shot at coming...Joel and the Deity crew always throw theirs on sundays, and there is no reason to miss theirs!!
Also if you work a swing shift where you'd possibly be available on a weekday in the early am then maybe we can just go ride somewhere sometime 8)

Re: NOCO Outlaw #3
I will start a list soon, if you read about my bruising and swelling in the Deity Outlaw thread, Im sorry for the overshare, but the bruising and swelling, particularly the bruising and swelling Im most concerned about ma lat 6-8 weeks so for this next NOCO race I may just be the host and events coordinator and not be in the race...
Dont let that discourage you though! It will still be a great time!
Ill start a list when we have ten or more signed up, til then just keep skating hard and keep your eyes on the fish for any new info!!!
And for gods sake SIGN UP FOR THE DEITY RACE!!!!!!!!! OVERLOOK IS AWESOME!!

Re: NOCO Outlaw #3
Unless we get busted somehow then the hill for NOCO#3 is easily under 25 if you stand it up and dont push hard from the top, but the turns are pretty tight so its decently technical at top speed but should be doable by almost all skill levels.
If we dont skate this particular hill I have a back up or two...also hit me up some time and Ill take you to the last race hill which anyone can tell you is very mild yet still takes you up to 35+ with even a terrible tuck without being super scary. I also have a few other more mild runs around my area that Im happy to take you to for some slower learning, to be perfectly honest Im scared to even try tomorrows new hill because Im still in a moderate to high level of pain, especially in a tuck, but Im going to reserve judgement until after some practice runs!
Dont be discouraged by the hill change, come anyhow!! Dont race if you dont want to, but dont give up until you see it! Going fast is easier than turning, so dont count yourself out just yet!

Giving your parents all of the information you have is not always a good idea...
Of course NOT giving them all the information you have i not always a good idea either...

I dont know exactly how they set it up, but its really only 40+ when you bomb the top half in a full tuck with as little movement as you can. I hit this in leathers + fullface the other day, tucked very tight and hit 45. i doubt it will be setup for 40 mph, just show up and skate!

Re: NOCO Outlaw #3
Race was sick!
Starting a list again, please include how likely you are to come...Im too lazy to figure out the event thing right now so throw up a name and Ill do the same as I did for the last one!
Thursday July 16th! meeting time 6:30, race time approx 7:30.
I will try to post directions directly to the hill so practice runs can start sooner!
Changing it up a bit this time its a $2 race buy in and prizes will be determined on race day dependent mostly on how many riders we get! THE MORE THE BETTER SO BRING YOUR BROTHERS SISTERS AND ANY DOGS YOU KNOW THAT CAN SKATE!!! No cats tho, they are too aero...
