    Default Battle Ridge Outlaw---Bozeman, MT

Correct me if I'm wrong but this is probably the first speedboard race in MT.

    Battle Ridge Outlaw
    Saturday, August 15th, 2009
    Just North of Bozeman, MT

The course is only 1 mile long but has some nice sweeping corners and speeds over 50MPH in a full tuck.

Come out and race in Montana's first outlaw.

9 AM meetup at the campgrounds. Stoked Skateboards has been nice enough to send us up a box of prizes. Shirts will be available for purchase for about $15, I think.

Are you thinking of coming out and racing or just watching. Hope to have as many racers as possible but we'll need a couple spotters, drivers, and spectators are definitely welcome as well.

Helmets, and slide gloves are REQUIRED. Full face helmets, and pads or leathers are strongly strongly recommended. This is a serious hill on a open road with the possibility of traffic and/or livestock. You can reach over 50MPH in a tight tuck and there are sweeping turns.

Holy **** Batman! Had no idea this was going on and I live in Bozo! I'm not quite good enough for that road... I'm down with triple tree but the amount of gravel along with fast and unpredictable traffic/cattle on that highway.. noooo thanks.. at least not for now.. I might swing by for a looky loo though!

Unfortunately that post is over a year old. Sorry to disappoint you. Anyways gravel isn't usually too bad and I've only had serious cattle on the road once. Downhill traffic won't catch up if you tuck, and stay in your lane and oncoming traffic is usually minimal anyways. The DH scene in bozeman is tiny right now but all the sudden there are a bunch of new riders that want to learn so it's a great opportunity for the new guys to progress and push each other. Come skate.

Is this still a relevant thread? I go to school in Bozeman but I live in Seattle. Does anyone live in Bozo during the school year that wants to go ride some downhill/ freeride type stuff?
