I agree, at least once a week, and oh yeah, remember the helmet. We both (me and my permanent ride partner) ride with helmets and gloves around town, and when we can find some good pads that dont feel uncomfortable to crouch in we will get those too. Both my knees are pretty hashed. I don't think we will be going out tonight, but we may. Probably tomorrow, maybe saturday and sunday too.

because there is a large scene at the UofU for longboarding we want to get the word out to these boarders and teach them about other diciplines of riding, like DH, sliding, freeriding etc. so me and a few friends were thinking every monday evening at 6pm meet at the bottom of the stadium at the trax, here we can spread the word on other events sessions and races. we gotta get this scene rolling. very few people realize the potential Utah has to have a HUGE longboard skateboard scene.

Sounds cool. The problem for me with monday is that I don't get off work till 9. Sitting here at work now, building my slide gloves, with garden gloves, industrial strength velcro, and a cut up cutting board.

Okay, Tonight, we are going back up to the U. We plan on hitting some good stuff, from 1st south, maybe 3rd ave, 1700 south, on the way home, and whatever else is fun.

Give me a call, send me a text, or meet us at the U stadium parking lot later tonight.

Alright, we are going up to the U again today, to practice some sliding with the new gloves and wheels. Give me a call if anyone wants to come up. We are going to bring our tools, and oil, and lube, as well as tune our boards while up there. We may also be doing some bronco boarding which involves a boarder on one end of a long strap, and the bronco tied to the other end.

We don't do that anywhere near the U. That is usually just residential neighborhoods at night, and parking lots or retail stores after hours. Its pretty fun.

    Helmets are a must.

Last night was fun, we ran into Colin, and the fellow who makes 3 ring boards and cruised 2nd south for the first time, as well as through campus a bunch.

Micah, I am so tempted to come. What time will you be packing up and heading home? I don't usually get off work till 9, but I may get off early.

I need need need a new deck, need something that is a bit longer, preferably 30-32 inch wheelbase, and something that I can ride forward of backward would be the best. Symmetrical front to back.

awe man. haha that's kinda funny, cause the only two boards i had to sell were a tactis with built in wedging and possibly my evo. both of which are far from symmetrical.
sorry man. we had a pretty good turn out. 3 ring came and so did Fuze. haha

Im pretty sure that the next deck I own will be the one I build. I have access to a great wood shop, and know how to build a simple press, and whats more, is that I have never seen my perfect board. I really want to make my own.

What kind of stuff do you like to ride matt? Dan and I usually hit the hills that aren't killer fast, maybe 35 mph average is the good stuff. Both our boards are set up for DH and we only have 1 board each.

I'm pretty novice if you might haha my setup is a 38" bustin strike with 180 randalls 75mm orang 4 presidents..but i'm sure the more I ride the more comfortable i'll get at higher speeds I wouldn't say my board is setup for downhill..but maybe it would help if I flipped my randals?....mainly got into longboarding to cruise around campus from class to class...but the more i skate the more intrigued I am with the sport so hoping to get a little more serious with it
