somebody who knows what they're talking about- please answer me this
So I wanna go faster and take corners ever harder. Should I go 50/35, 42/35, 42/28? or even 50/28?
I already asked the speedboarding section, but I don't think that the majority of the 'fish people know shiit about shiit and just talk outta their ass so they can try to look cool or whatever.
I want some PROMASTER EXPERT advice- so let me know what you think ColoRADoadodo. Im pretty sure you know who you are.
Currently I am riding a 42/42 with flipped back hanger. While flipping the hanger changes the angle of the truck, the angle of the kingpin is still the same so I wanna switch it up a little bit.
I will buy you a beer if you know what you are talking about and hook it up with some good advice. Word

Re: somebody who knows what they're talking about- please answer me this
I'm currently riding 42/35 on my Voodoo and it may just be my favorite speed setup ever. Solid as a rock up to 50mph and yet its somehow nimble enough to do standup drifts on. I highly recommend it as a topmount setup.
Now where's my beer...

Re: somebody who knows what they're talking about- please answer me this
Go get yourself some 50 degree plates and some 35 degree plates and figure out what feels best to you. Thats all that matters.
from what i understand low degrees in the back =stable and a bigger angle in the front will keep the board turny?

I'm not sure I'm a "promaster" but i'll give you my advice.
I currently ride a 55 front, 30 back. A lot of the locals ride (zak maytum, kyle wester, kawika omoto aka backbreaker) but there are other Rado locals who ride 42 42, or even 50 50.
Honestly, their is no "best setup" everyone rides different, with different style. What i think feels like a dialed setup will feel completely different under someone elses feet. Plus, everyone corners different, tucks different, weights and un weights different, and so on.
My suggestion, at the next race or garage session ask the riders what they are riding and why etc... I'd be happy to lend my setups for you to try out. Most other riders are willing as well.

You're a blistered dick. In the future, if we want any more lip from you we'll just scrape it off of our zippers.
Oh yeah, butt hurt? Really? Are you 11?

Let's look at few top skaters trucks and deck setups:
Mischo Erban, Evo with a 40 front 10, rear. Proto Chaput trucks
Scoot Smith, Evo with 50 front, 15 rear JimZ trucks
Kevin Reimer, Avenger/Hellcat, 46 front and rear. Aera trucks
Zak Maytum , Madrid dropthrough, 56 front, 27 rear. Talon trucks
Louis Pilloni, Asym with 50 front and rear. Paris trucks
Brent Dubendorff, Pulse topmount,50 front and rear. Paris trucks
Patrick Switzer, Fullbag topmount with 45 front and rear. Kahalani trucks
Spite the huge difference in setups, they all haul ass and shreds the gnar taking turns at high speeds.
So you just have to figure out for yourself what suits your riding style best. Experiment. Baseplates aren't that expensive.
